Okay, so… there aren’t actually that many FAQs. Maybe there won’t ever be. Maybe this will get added to. Who knows. But I do get asked a couple of things, so… here are answers.
Is Eli Lang a pen name?
Yes, it is.
How do you pronounce Eli?
Well, it’s a pen name, so the answer is pretty much however you like. I have a few friends who say it like Ehh-lee, and I like that. ❤ But in my head it’s Eee-lie, like the (typically but not always) male name.
Do you read reviews?
No. I firmly believe reviews are for readers and not authors. I am so, so grateful for people taking the time to read and leave a review- whether it’s a good review or a not so good one. But I just can’t read them or respond to them- and I don’t think it’s my place to, at all- aside from saying thank you for doing that.
What are you working on?
Stuff. I’m not… trying to be coy, and I used to have a page up that was about what I had written or was writing at the time… but even when something is completely written, there’s no guarantee that it’ll ever see the light of day, for any number of reasons. And I’m pretty terrified of things not working out.
I can say, though, that I generally write SFF with strong romantic elements, or contemporary and SFF romances (all of which have so far always been queer, and I don’t have any plans to change that,) so you can probably expect more along those lines from me in the future.
What’s your next book release?
Skin Hunger! It’s a f/f contemporary romance about a drummer and a dancer, and family, and figuring out who you are. It’s the second book in the Escaping Indigo series, but it can be read by itself, and it’ll be out on November 13. There’s some more info about it over on its page.
